Just a reminder to the new reloaders, this isn't good stuff. I'll occasionally notice a piece or two of the spent brass in my range pick-up brass and throw it out. I'll admit, I shoot a lot of junk brass in my 1911, but it feeds just about anything I stuff in the magazine. Late Friday night I was loading up my gear for a Toys for Tots action pistol match on Saturday morning and realized I was getting low on 200 gr LSWC rounds, so I loaded up some more on the Dillon and put them in my range bag without checking any of them. On the second stage the next morning, I had a round feed about 2/3 of the way into the barrel and stick tight. After wrestling it out and finishing the stage, I found the dropped round. It was loaded in A-Merc brass, with a visible bulge where the bullet was seated. Lessons learned: Don't use A-Merc brass, and case gauge your ammo! Note: This is from American Ammunition, not American Eagle.

+1 on case gaugeing your match ammo Red that is a must do for competition's ! I also chunk A merc and S&B and a few others that only have symbols to idenify them.

I tried AMerc ammo a few years ago (9mm) and it was CRAP. The dirtiest ammo I've ever used - dirtier than 9mm loaded with a lead bullet and propelled by Bullseye.
I loaded up some of the once fired brass, and got too many failures to feed and high primers when none had existed before.

I made a trade with a guy on another forum for some brass. I sent him 2000 pieces of .40 for 2500 pieces of 9mm. That sun of a gun sent me 1800 pieces of Czech and Russian brass with ferked up writing or symbols on the head that appeard to have been shot out of subguns. The trusty U-die wouldn't even fix that crap!!!
